About
World War One was one of the deadliest wars of all time. World War One killed more than 10 million people and over 20 million were left wounded. A question that we must ask is, what would cause such a deadly war? Unfortunately, there is no strait forward answer to this question. So why is there not a straight forward reason? Well, World War One was the result of many reasons leading up to its birth. These reasons would include Militarism, Imperialism, Nationalism, alliances and the assassination of the Archduke of Austria-Hungary, Franz Ferdinand.
This webpage will go into depth for each of these reasons and how they contributed to the start of World War One. The information for each of these subjects (Militarism, Imperialism, Nationalism, Alliances, Franz Ferdinand) can be found at the top of our webpage.
